Congratulations on your admission to Georgia’s Public Liberal Arts University.
The steps below are things to remember that will help you through your post-acceptance. Some of this information will be within your acceptance email.
Steps to becoming a bobcat
1: Set up your account
Your MyGCSU account will allow you to print your schedule, find your advisor, access financial aid awards, pay for your classes, view course offerings, and much more!

2. Register for courses
Georgia College uses an online campus portal known as MyGCSU to provide access to many on campus systems. Course information can be found on PAWS.
To access PAWS (from MYGCSU)
- Visit MyGCSU
- Login using your campus email and Unify password.
- Access PAWS from the Service Apps section.
Once you access PAWS, you can view holds, register for classes and view your class schedule.
How to view holds
- Choose the Registration icon.
- Select Prepare for Registration link.
- Select the term you are wanting to view information for and click continue.
If holds exist, you should contact the appropriate department with questions and concerns.
How to register for classes
- Choose the Registration icon.
- Select Register for Classes link.
- Select intended entry term and click continue.
- Add your course CRN number(s) or search for desired courses.
How to view my class schedule
- Choose the Registration icon.
- Select View Registration Information link.
- Select the term you wish to view from the dropdown menu

3. Financial Aid, if applicable
- Complete the correct FAFSA at studentaid.gov.
- Check your Bobcat email account for updates from the Office of Financial Aid.
- Upload required documents (if you receive an email request from GCSU Financial Aid). View our verification webpage for more details.
- Review your offer letter that will come back to your Bobcat email account. In order to have funds disbursed, you will need to either accept or modify the amount. For more information on accepting funds, please visit our Financial Aid Acceptance/Adjustments webpage.
- Review policies by visiting gcsu.edu/financialaid and clicking on General Information. It is highly recommended to review Course Program of Student Requirements, Policy-Satisfactory Academic Progress and Policy-Disbursement of Financial Aid, but all information on this webpage may be helpful.
- Get to know your Financial Aid advisor. Call Financial Aid at (478) 445-5149 or email at financialaid@gcsu.edu with any questions you may have.
